By many accounts the greeziest Grime MC around. Or at least by his own account, Trim has remained one of the most underrated MCs in the scene for years. Best known for his association with Roll Deep, he's lived noisily in the shadows of more commercially acceptable artists, playing with his flow and the tracks he jumps on, ever keen to switch things up.
Sometimes erratic. Sometimes solid. Sometimes catchy. Sometimes harder than granite, the one consistency in Trim's work is that he doesn't give a shit what anyone else thinks about him. He's doing him.
And that's why I just couldn't wait for his latest offering. Whatever was about to come was going to be interesting and that's enough for me.
It just so happens that it's a solid banger too. With production from Happa, the instrumental is unplaceable. An industrial churn, a flopped beat, a cute flute loop. You're drawn into the wallowing valves of a true road man.
