We’re a cultured lot, you know. It’s not just luxury watches, sportswear and hip-hop. Sometimes we like to sit at home and marvel at our collection of things. One of our favourites is Folklore, a design company in London create objets d’art that will make your home feel like a castle. Or like a well decorated home, at the very least.
Folklore is a home and lifestyle brand based on a simple idea we can live better by surrounding ourselves by better design. Approaching household goods with a bold and masculine approach, they manufacture and design all of their own products; an emphasis placed upon sourcing the finest materials and high quality craftsmanship.
Based in Islington, they create goods that will far outlive our fleshy frames, adorning our homes for generations to come.
From some sick green canvas bags to Cedarwood shaving soap, they have some great stuff for blokes. One of our personal favourites is the breadboard made from oak, or the concrete soap dish. A raw, masculine statement that will make your kitchen far more musky and strong. Get rid of that porcelain and get yourself a tarmac black soap holder.
Make the kitchen your own with some glass jars filled with beans, or a desk lamp! What about an Everyday Enamel Pail to carry water around in?. And I don’t know about you, but I never realised I needed a Swedish computer brush until I saw this beauty.
Donating 10% of their profits to a different not-for-profit organisation at the end of every year, Folklore are a lovely bunch of people that make some fantastic stuff.
