Jägermeister’s foray into the world of live music is well known by now. From the first ever gig on a moving iceberg, to the Jägerhaus’ various appearances at festivals throughout the country, they’re firmly cementing themselves as big time players in the industry. Now their latest project sees them teaming up with Soho Radio for something a little bit different.
The station, one of London’s last leading independent broadcasters, is world renowned for its passion for community. Creating a platform to introduce new talent, curate independent voices and showcase musical legends, Soho Radio has been synonymous with its surrounding neighbourhood since its inception, and continues to showcase the finest talent in comedy, music and entertainment to this day.
So it’s no surprise that Jägermeister are teaming up with this stalwart of central London’s scene to deliver a quirky new take on radio.
The line-up for JägerSoho includes a music and chat show, a series of intimate vinyl sessions from some of the world’s best loved musicians, and residencies from exciting businesses and visionaries that the guys at Jägermeister love.
Last month this was Berlin pop-up brünch, whose bread, brunch, booze had people pouring through the doors. Now it’s over to Family Store, an independent Brighton-based shop and online store selling clothes, pins, patches, records, small press and other illustrated goods.
The JägerSoho Vinyl Sessions
Perhaps most excitingly, Jägermeister and Soho Radio will have launched The Vinyl Sessions. Where surprise guests (and big ones too), will be dropping by the space to perform exclusive live sessions which will then be cut straight to vinyl for you to purchase. Though they’re not stopping there, and are going to film all the session in virtual reality so that you can tune in and feel like you’re really there.
Sounds cool, right? But we’d suggest you actually go down there in person…
