A month's passed and it's time from our friends at Green Milk to enter panic mode before their last night of the summer. What a goddamned line up they have in store for us though!
With their own brand of the absurd, our friends at Green Milk run a night choc-a-bloc with the finest young, alternative comedians on the London circuit. This isn't your typical "my old lady drives me so mad, I sometimes think about killing her", type of craic. No, this is the "I remember you... where was it from? Oh, that's right! 4,000 years ago, Sparta, we were in the legion together!" type of craic.
Not that that makes any sense out of context. Or with context, to be honest...
Well the next night in June is their last of the summer and features some seriously stellar comics. Opening the night is the rude as hell Lou Sanders - whose paper dick and balls will be flapping in your face for the full half hour.
In the middle are the stupendously funny Stephen Bailey, Lolly Adefope and Kishore Nayar. You might recognise Stephen Bailey from his sassy commentary on BBLB: he's going to be the next big thing in the catty commenteriat. Lolly's weirdness is just wonderful, and Kishore's lawyer by day, comedian by night setup offers a reminder that we're all people, just that some of us are bad people.
Headlining the night is the remarkable Liam Williams. Remarkable in a few ways. Listening to his voice for 5 minutes, and you'll want him narrating your life to you in every step, and remarkable that someone so young could have mastered the art of standup comedy so stupendously.
